Arn Bjorndal

Executive Director

I came to Christ in 1972 while a senior in high school. I visited a church where a speaker named Brother Pagano was speaking. After the service, I went home and confessed my sins and asked Him into my life.

In 1987 my wife, Linda and I were attending a missions conference at our church. The speaker challenged us with the concept of each person being a missionary. Linda and I prayed and our pastor Don Newell encouraged us and we pursued missions work and finally landed with Youth for Christ.

I have worked with clubs in the Linganore area as well as TJ area over the years, but I have in the last 12 or so years been involved with ministry with foster care boys at the Maryland Sheriffs' Youth Ranch. As the Director of Central Maryland YFC, a lot of my ministry is to minister to our staff, work with our Board of Directors and oversee administrative as well as ministry events that cross the several ministries of our group.

My wife Linda and I have four adult children. They are Lori, who was married in the summer of 2010 and lives in Hagerstown, Maryland and works as a first grade teacher, Emily who lives in Jacksonville, Florida and is studying to become a Physical Therapist, Eric is a business major at Huntington University and Evan is a Mechanical Engineering major at Grove City College.

I love to play, coach, watch, and teach basketball and I am Urbana High School's Freshman Basketball Coach.  I love to spend time with my in-laws, Connie and Andy Terhune who are wise and fun to be with. Some of my favorite things are: High School and College Basketball, sailing, talk radio, dried fruit, bran buds, politics, and running.
